It's official, award season has finally arrived! Tanggal 11 Desember 2014 pagi waktu setempat atau Kamis malam waktu Indonesia, nama-nama yang masuk nominasi terbaik dalam penghargaan tertinggi industri film dan televisi versi The Hollywood Foreign Press Association alias Golden Globe Awards disampaikan secara resmi oleh Kate Beckinsale, Jeremy Piven, Peter Krause, dan Paula Patton.
Dari 25 kategori yang ada (14 untuk film dan 11 untuk TV), film Birdman yang dibintangi oleh Michael Keaton memimpin dengan tujuh nominasi. Sedangkan prestasi tersendiri dicatat oleh aktris kawakan Meryl Streep yang mendapatkan nominasi Golden Globe ke-29 kalinya sepanjang kariernya lewat aktris pendukung wanita terbaik di film musikal Into the Woods yang akan rilis akhir tahun ini. Dan kabar baik untuk Anda ladies, duo tampan asal Inggris, Benedict Cumberbatch serta Eddie Redmayne pun masuk daftar nominasi tersebut berkat akting memikat mereka di The Imitation Game dan The Theory of Everything.
Tapi Anda patut bersabar, pasalnya para pemenang 72nd Annual Golden Globes baru akan diumumkan pada tanggal 11 Januari 2015 mendatang di Beverly Hilton Hotel.
